A Closer Look at the St. John's East End Real Estate Market
If you have been reading this blog you will know that I like to break down statistics into a form that is meaningful for the consumer. For instance this post will look at single family detached homes, both bungalows and 2 stories in St. John's East End as well as all styles of detached, 2 apartment homes in the same area. The tables compare sales for Jan 01 - July 31, 2008 to the same period in 2007. Prices have been rounded to the nearest $100.00.
Detached Bungalows (single family) - Currently there are 13 active listings with an average list price of $270,300.00

Using these figures we can see that the price of a single family bungalow increased 8.7% over the same period last year.
Detached 2-Story Homes (single family) - Currently there are 28 active listings with an average list price of $294,300.00

Using these figures we can see that the price of a single family 2 story home has increased 18% over the same period last year.
Detached 2-Apartment Homes - Currently there are 16 active listings with an average list price of $243,000.00

Using these figures we can see that the price of a detached 2 apartment home increased by 15% over the same period last year.
