A Snapshot of 50+ Condominium Complexes in the St. John's Area

Time marches on and as happens, people age. Currently, boomers becoming eniors is an influential population trend which will continue well after the last baby boomer hits 65.

Sometime ago developers realized there would be a growing need for appropriate senior’s housing and began to construct Active Living Adult or 50+ Condominium Complexes.

Active Living Adult Condominium complexes fit boomers’ lifestyles for a number of reasons. They are worry free in terms of snow clearing, lawn maintenance, and exterior repairs. Generally, at least in the St. John’s area, it is possible to buy a unit close to family and friends. The complex is a convenient community of similarly aged adults, often with shared interests. Some complexes offer indoor and outdoor social facilities.

Currently there are Active Living Condominium Corporations located in the East and West ends of St. John’s and in Mount Pearl.

New construction is ongoing at Osprey Landing and Twin Brooks Condominiums. Construction should begin this summer on Park Place Condominiums in Mount Pearl; however Phase 1 is sold out.

The following is a list of the 50+ condominium complexes in the region. Contact Larry for a list of Adult Condominium Units currently on the market.

It is not Manchester Place; it's Manchester Street and Preston Place.
